After more than two decades in the corporate world, I went back to college to pursue my passion for writing. I was awarded a writing fellowship that opened doors to write travel and community articles for a local newspaper.
One of my articles was published by CNN on their Weekend's in America website and also spotlighted on HLN's TV program.
My passion for travel and writing ultimately led to a full-time writing career with a vacation package company that is owned by a major airline. I landed a dream job where I daily inspire travelers to explore the world and turn their bucket list dreams into one reality after another.

I believe most writers are avid readers before they become writers, at least this is my story.
Growing up reading Ernest Hemingway and Mark Twain satisfied my longing for adventure. In real life, these authors explored the world and wrote about their travels.
Many poets, writers, and authors weave destinations and nature into their stories, which always fascinated me. When I began traveling the world, I understood why.

Research. Write. Repeat. As a writer it is important to know the subject you are writing about— and practice, practice, practice.
Your reader will know if you're passionate and informed about your subject, and it will keep them reading and engaged.
For close to ten years, I've been writing about traveling the world. My dream is to write and publish a book. I attend writer's conferences often and lead a non-profit writing critique group that helps writer's get published.
